Hello, I'm Apexa Kerai.
I’m a Counselor and a 
Psychologist based in India.

More specifically I am someone who helps to spark change in people’s lives.

I offer a warm, safe, empathetic and a non - judgmental environment to my clients where they can​ express their feelings and emotions.
My sessions aim at helping my clients find a way through any difficulties they may be facing in any sphere of their lives.

I love my job. Witnessing the courage, strength and determination of my clients as they confront and overcome their biggest fears is inspirational. It never gets old. I feel so honoured to share that journey with you. 

When I’m not in my clinic, or travelling (another passion of mine!), you’ll find me working out, eating out, doing something crafty, painting or gardening. 

My Approach

I take an Integrative Approach, and as the name suggests, this is a combined approach to psychotherapy that brings together different elements of specific therapies. I take the view that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations. Rather, each person needs to be considered as a whole, and counselling techniques must be tailored to their individual needs and personal circumstances.

Integrative counselling maintains the idea that there are many ways in which human psychology can be explored and understood - no one theory alone holds the answer. All theories are considered to have value, even if their foundational principles contradict each other - hence the need to integrate them.

I’m a big believer that the value of therapy comes, not just from the insights you discover in the room, but from integrating what you learn into everyday life. You’ll leave therapy with a “toolbox” of  strategies to help you stay on track, move forward with your life and successfully navigate any bumps further along your journey.
